Nightwear Doesn't Have to Be Drab!
/When we think of nightwear, we tend to skip to one of two extremes. On the one hand, we have lacy or silky numbers that are relatively scant. They look impressive, but don’t offer much coverage and aren’t exactly the coziest clothing to nod off to sleep in. On the other hand, we have long nightgowns or pajama tops and trousers that do no favors for the figure, but are extremely comfortable. The good news is that you don’t necessarily have to choose either one of these two extremes. There are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing options out there. Here are just a few to consider.
Pyjamas
The best pajamas for you will depend entirely on personal preference and what you feel most comfortable in. But whether you prefer night dresses, shorts and tanks, long sleeved night shirts, long pyjama bottoms, or jumpsuits, there are attractive options out there. Invest in high-quality pajamas. Materials like pure cotton or satin are preferable, as they will retain colors well with washing, stay in shape through drying, and have a degree of longevity as a result. There are plenty of desirable brands who constantly launching ranges with beautiful prints, colors, and flattering cuts.
Slippers
We tend to keep the same pair of slippers for extended periods of time. If you already have a pair of slippers, there’s a good chance they’re pretty worn out. If so you should sincerely consider purchasing a new replacement pair. If you don’t have a pair of slippers, it’s high time you invest in a pair. There are plenty of benefits to wearing slippers. They help to keep your house clean (as wearing outdoor shoes around the house can transfer all sorts of dirt to your floors), and reduce your risk of developing bacterial or fungal infections (as your feet won’t be in direct contact with the exposed floors). Consider high-quality, open-heel slipper shoes. These are comfortable, look good, and have a good sole, just in case you have to take the garbage out in them.
Dressing Gowns
If you want a little extra warmth around the house, you can purchase a dressing gown. But you don’t need to opt for the traditional waffle material gown. There are plenty of alternative options out there that can give your around the house look a little something special. From luxurious, fluffy gowns for those of us who like an all-out feminine aesthetic, or satin gowns with more discreet fluffy linings for those who prefer a more subtle and classic look.
Sure, you want your pajamas and other nightwear to be comfortable and practical. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to sacrifice style for their sake. You really can have the best of both worlds. You just need to purchase high-quality nightwear that will stand the test of time and flatter your figure!
